Egyptian mice

  • Rattus Norvegicus

They can live up to three years and weigh about 300 grams. Their senses of smell and hearing are very well developed, being able to easily recognize their owners by their aroma or by the sound of their voice; Their tactile instruments (mainly their whiskers and their tail) are essential to know their surroundings, managing to move with dexterity from one side to another using them practically without using sight.

Since they lack hair that covers their body, they are particularly sensitive to drafts and cold, also to sudden changes in temperature. They should not be maintained at less than 18ºc nor more than 30ºc. Since your skin is, so to speak, naked, you should not expose yourself to direct sunlight during prolonged sessions.
